This town is something like Le Marche's own little version of Rome or Florence, it's quite glamorous for what is a very rustic region. It's found up high with mountains looming overhead.
It's a town that feels like a city, with two rivers running through it. It's got the very grand town square where everything happens on weekends - church weddings, local nonnas exchanging gossip, produce markets and concerts in summer.
Art galleries and churches are dotted around the town and food-lovers can try the local speciality, olive all'ascolana a.k.a. stuffed olives.
